About the project

The project LET’S BE FRIENDS was initiated in Lithuania at the end of 2014. The project instigator was Laura Guobužaitė, Consul General of the Republic of Lithuania in Brazil. The project was funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania and developed by the Department of Lithuanian Studies, Vilnius University, together with ELEKTRONINĖS LEIDYBOS NAMAI. The course will be run by the School of Lithuanian Studies VILNIS in Brazil aiming at teaching Lithuanian to Brazilian students.

Yet this course can be successfully made suitable for different countries if there are people striving to learn Lithuanian. The course has been developed to work with a teacher who himself / herself starts a group for registered students, makes virtual appointments, communicates directly, and checks open-type tasks. Therefore the course will operate in your country if:

  1. An enthusiastic teacher having a larger or smaller group of students will contact the administrator of this course and sign up as a teacher.
  2. This registered teacher will invite his / her group of students to sign up for the course.
After that you will be able to get access to the course materials and in twenty-four weeks get befriended with the Lithuanian language and Lithuania.

Best of luck!
